Innovation and research are the characteristics that distinguish us at Alpes

ALPS srl was founded in 1961.
Initially, the business was limited exclusively to the production of flexible remote controls used in the automotive and marine sectors. Over the years, interest shifts to the sector of steel cables.

Subsequently, the process of coating cables and extruding plastic tubes was introduced. From here the company production also included the manufacturing of push-pull sheaths. The last sector explored is the drawing of the steel wires used to produce the cables themselves.

The continuous evolution of the production processes has made it necessary to have adequate implementations of the existing plants and continuous investments both in the production machines and in the dedicated areas.

To date, Alpes production is divided into two operating units: the main one boasts an area of 7500 square metres and houses the cables production, extrusion, sheath production plants and a laboratory for the mechanical control of the products’ physical characteristics and an electronic microscope.

The secondary operating unit consists of the drawing plant, in which the wires necessary for the construction of the cables are produced, as well as a test room for mechanical checks of the wires produced.

In addition, there is a laboratory capable of verifying the carbon of the wires and a machine for checking the dies used in the drawing phase, so that the wires are always produced with careful attention to their quality.

    Expansion of the drawing department

    Closure of the remote-control production department

    Expansion of the push-pull sheath production department

    Inauguration of a new production unit: the drawing department is moved here

To date, the production of Alpes is divided into two operating units: the main houses the cables production plants, plastics extrusion, and production of sheaths push-pull, as well as a laboratory for the mechanical control of the products’ physical characteristics and a microscope. The most recent operating unit houses the wire drawing factory and a laboratory with machinery for mechanical tests, for the verification of carbon and for the control of drawing tools.

Alpes s.r.l. specializes in the production of: bare steel cables, coated with plastic materials, extruded plastic tubes, push-pull sheaths and steel wires used in various sectors, such as the automotive, aeronautical, architecture, linkage, nautical and lifting sectors. All items are produced in-house using certified raw materials. Our quality system ensures that the entire process follows ISO standards.
